This page details some of the software utilities and databases I am currently developing.

 

File Copy Explorer

This software gives you greater control over copying and moving large amounts of files from location to location. The two explorer panels can be set as source and destination and be filter down to specific file types or just folders. 

When copying large numbers of files it avoids the frustration of copying files with the windows explorer in that it does not stop half way through the process to warn about EXE files, system file, or read only files it just copies the files and any errors are log in the copy log. This means you can set it to copy and go away a leave it to get on with it. 

It has options such as prior space checking, which adds the files and folder you have selected to copy and compares this total with the available space on the destination drive.

You can resume copying of large amounts of file by checking "Skip existing" or perform backups by checking "Update existing".

There are lots of built in tools and functions such as System Info, Directory printing, File path to clipboard, File preview, Disc Space Gauge, Batch file rename and more.

This utility is contained within one executable file, which can be run on any machine without the need to install it.

Information Retrieval System
This software is a searchable database of text documents. It can search through large numbers of documents with speed. Also you can browse through document categories. A document can be put into more than one category and there can be many categories.

Each document has a title which can be word searched. The screen to the left show my Delphi code database which  currently holds over 8000 coding examples.
The image on the right shows the search results the user can click on a document title from the search results and view the document.

Each document contain a unique code which means I can add documents to two copies at different locations and then synchronize them later.
In addition to my Delphi code database I also have a music database which holds 35,000 lyrics and tab documents. I also maintain a JavaScript, Visual Basic, Security, General, VBScript, C, Technical, SQL and games databases. These database can all be search using my software front end.

 

UK Dialing Codes Lookup
The above utility will give you the location of a dialing code or the dialing code of a location. This is useful if you have caller Id or if you want to check codes on your phone bill. This utility does not need to be installed therefore it can be carried around on CD and run at will. 

I am also working on a similar utility that will store known telephone numbers and also a post code version.

 

 

Customer Invoicing System
The Customer Invoicing System is a quick way to create and print invoices, estimates, reminders and letters for customers listed in the database. 

Invoices and estimates can be flagged for batch print so that all the print can be done at once. When invoices are sent the customer is automatically added to the Debtors list and after a curtain period of time a batch of reminders can be printed. Annual work is automatically inputted into the Diary when invoices are created.

Customers can be found by performing searches and invoices and estimates can be recalled simply by entering in there numbers.

There are also other built in utilities such as VAT calculator, smell check, email and post code lookup.
The image to the left is an example Invoice. There is also a similar estimate, remind and letter. The address is position so that the invoice can folded for windowed envelops. 

All invoices are saved in the Invoice history for each customer. 

 

Pocket Watch
This software give the user audible or visual alerts at preset times or count down. 

It can also be set to perform tasks at curtain times such as shutting down the computer. This is useful if you want your computer to shutdown after a CD has finished being burnt or internet time has expired etc.

 

 

QQQ Message Encoder
This is a portable utility to encrypt messages. It has been written in a way that the encrypted version can be pasted into any email program. Coded messages can be pasted back into this program and then Decode.

 

System Info
Displays system info in a simple list which can be saved or printed. This software is not finished yet and will display more info.
